Today I don't really have anything to say about my dogs. Just a few general things to say about my neighbors' dogs and my neighbors.
If you bring a dog into your home, you should promise to take care of and love that dog just like you would your child. For me, the bare essentials are feeding and watering the dog, giving it proper shelter and shade, walking your dog every day, and not letting it run free. Anything beyond that is icing on the cake for you and your dog. They only want to be taken care of and loved.
There are certain dogs in my neighborhood that aren't getting some of these essentials that I listed above. I'm not going to go into specifics because it's just going to fuel my rage.
But I am just about to my limit of compassion and understanding for my neighbors. I called animal control this morning to find out what our local leash law is and got the captain's voicemail.
The last thing I want is for a dog to be taken away from an owner. But if the owner isn't going to have enough common sense to take care of their dog, maybe that's what should happen.
Let's go Eagles!
