GREENSBORO - A local woman was charged with animal cruelty Sunday, according to magistrate records.
A witness told Greensboro police that Emily Wiggins, of West Meadowview Road in Greensboro, threw a 3-month-old black lab puppy out a second-story window Sunday afternoon, according to arrest records.
The puppy may have broken a leg, according to police reports.
Wiggins was charged with cruelty to animals and possession of marijuana.
She made her $5,000 bail and was released from Guilford County jail Sunday.
